WANGANUI & DISTRICTS - BACKGROUND |
| A steering committee was set up in 1991. The Trust was formed in 1994 and the mobile launched on 1 October 1994. The main funders were Wanganui RSA, The Rotary Club of Wanganui South and The Wanganui Trustbank Community Trust, plus the community. Main supporters include Dave Hoskin Carriers, A B Kidd & Co Ltd, Apex Electronics Ltd, The Duncan Trust, T G McCarthy Trust. We have seventy four members in our Harold Club. The first educator was Jill Cooper followed by our current educator Nikki Palamountain. The area covered is south of Wanganui to Bulls, State Highway 1 to Waiouru across to Ohakune & Raetihi and north of Wanganui to Patea. |
