Raising Self-Esteem
Life Education's message is about preventing children from wanting to abuse their bodies with food, drugs or alcohol. Often adults with addiction problems start out life with low self-esteem, and a child with low self-esteem may not be able to put what we teach, fully into practice because their choices are influenced by feelings associated with low self-esteem. Left untreated it can have an extremely negative effect on a child's life, changing their desires and leading, in the worst cases, to personal and social problems associated with poor health, substance abuse and even teen suicide.
Diane Levy, a well known child psychologist and author, has a great approach to self-esteem in children. She outlines her method of raising self-esteem in her book Of Course I Love You... NOW GO TO YOUR ROOM! Download her self-esteem method now for free. This book is highly recommended by many parents, and her method has been put into practise with great success. Of course, we recommend reading the rest of the book, as it could change the future of your child's life - and possibly even yours!
