Life Education Learning Modules

Food For Energy (Year 1 & 2)

Outline The focus for this programme is the body’s need for a balanced diet. Harold invites us to join him at his friend, Jocko’s, birthday party. When we get there we find there are some problems and so we use our knowledge of the food pyramid to explain what a balanced diet is and why we need it. Students are involved with sorting food out into the three levels of the food pyramid to help show their greater understanding of a balanced diet.
