National Donation

The national trust was established on 2 November 1988. It is incorporated as a charitable trust under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957 (WN/406124). We don't take funding from the Ministry of Education, as we believe those funds need to go to schools. We are funded by individuals, businesses, families and philanthropic trusts. We are a non-profit organisation seeking to direct as much as possible of our donations and grants into programme development and development of teaching resources. We aim to keep our administration costs low, we have seven paid staff members. Our financial year is the calendar and school year ending 31 December. We have our audited financial accounts and annual report completed and printed around the end of February, two months after the end of the financial year. Download our Annual Report

Local Donation

We have approximately 360 volunteers that work hard to raise the funds to bring the educator and mobile classroom to the children in your area. Our community trusts do not pay any levies to the national office of Life Education. If you would like to make a donation to your local community trust, your donation will stay in your community and directly benefit children. The cost to deliver this programme is around $11.90 per child and Life Education charges schools a small fraction of this (and the community trust funds the balance, through community support.
