Life Education Trust Waitakere started in April 1991 and we recently celebrated 20 years service to our Community.
We invited Dale Kirk, from the MethCon Group, to deliver a keynote speech on 'Methamphetamine and Drug Awareness', which was a huge success.
The children from our local schools were invited to draw an A3 Poster showing Harold and something he has taught them. These posters were on display at the local National Banks during the Easter School Holidays.
In 2011, LET Waitakere successfully delivered the Life Education Programme to more than 5,300 children in 16 schools.

Catherine MacKenzie-Simpson
I am the Executive Officer of the Trust. It is a job that I really enjoy as it embraces a lot of my passions: children, well-being and community.
I firmly believe that it takes a village to raise a child and our Trust is a valuable part of the village.
I was raised in West Auckland and trained to be a chef at the Auckland Technical Institute.
I have 4 children and am married to Michael Simpson. I have been a Trustee since 2008. Previously I worked as the coordinator for Swanson on the Twin Streams Project. I also used to fundraise for the Swanson Playcentre. I have also been a treasurer for Plunket. At present, I also run Community Quilts for The Auckland Patchwork and Quilter Guild Inc.
