In late 2010, the Life Education Trust Ponsonby/Eden/Roskill was established by a group of dedicated individuals, volunteering their skills and time to support this worthy cause.
The Trust is registered with the Charities Commission and is in the initial stages of raising the funding required to get a mobile classroom on the road. The Trust will be delivering the Life Education Programme to children in the area in 2012.
The Ponsonby/Eden/Roskill Trust is one of eight Life Education Community Trusts in the greater Auckland area, where ten Mobile Classrooms currently operate. A Mobile Classroom can see approx 7,000 - 8,000 children a year. Within this geographical area there are approximately 150,000 children.
It is Life Education’s vision that every child in this area sees the programme annually. Based on current capacity, Life Education Trust needs six more Mobile Classrooms on the road. The Ponsonby/Eden/Roskill new Mobile Classroom is the first step towards this goal.
