Since 1991 Life Education Trust North Wellington has been successfully delivering the Life Education Programme to many children throughout this local area.
In 2011, LET North Wellington reached over 3,900 children in 21 schools. The hard working Trustees continue to raise much needed funds to keep the mobile classroom running.

Jane Hocking: Educator
Jane jumped on board as an Educator with North Wellington Trust in 2007, with a huge passion for education. She is a fully registered teacher with a background in Secondary Teaching at local colleges, Mana and Aotea. Her teacher training started at Sydney University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Education and has been hugely involved with all education matters while raising her family. With a keen bunch of locals, she started the Pauatahanui Early Childhood Education Society and was the inaugural chairperson there for 3 years. With sport as her other passion, she represented New Zealand in Underwater Hockey and later, involving herself in coaching, managing and developing programmes for sport associations and schools. Jane loves the dynamics of the Porirua area and lives in Paremata. When she’s not under the water, she’s probably fishing on top of it.
For her, teaching in the Life Education Trust mobile classroom is about instilling in students, an enjoyment for life – learning is easy when it’s fun. You are most welcome to check out classes in action with Jane and Harold – call Jane on 021 658131.
